46% of workers are using ChatGPT, says Korn Ferry

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Nearly half, or 46%, of professionals currently use ChatGPT as part of their workday, said consulting firm Korn Ferry. 

In a newly-released survey, Korn Ferry revealed that more workers are considering using artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot tools in the workplace. 

Eight out of 10 (80%) survey respondents believe ChatGPT is a legitimate, beneficial work tool that is here to stay. At the same time, nearly one-quarter (24%) said their employers are already encouraging the use of ChatGPT in the workplace.

Korn Ferry Senior Client Partner Brad Frank said, “ChatGPT is a useful tool, but it shouldn’t replace the personalized approach people bring to their daily work or even job searches.”

However, despite its popularity, 57% of professionals do not believe ChatGPT would provide accurate results. 

“ChatGPT can streamline the process but should always be checked for both accuracy and the nuances that make a candidate or employee stand out,” Frank added.

The Korn Ferry survey of 312 professionals took place in early March 2023.
