Spearheaded by Talenbrium analysts, the 2024 ICT Industry Global Labour Market Analysis dives into talent dynamics within the IT sector and subsidiary fields like cybersecurity and machine learning.
Key findings show surging demand for AI engineers, software developers and cybersecurity roles due to rising data breaches.
Top talent hubs remain concentrated in major cities like San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Bengaluru, India, while emerging locations like Toronto and Bucharest offer competitive salaries for skilled professionals.
The report also stresses qualitative factors shaping recruitment, including remote work, flexibility, diversity, and reskilling. With AI advancing rapidly, Indian tech giants like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS, and HCLTech have training partnerships with universities to equip over 400,000 employees with new skills.
“The IT industry is known for its rapid evolution, and staying ahead of the curve requires continuous learning and upskilling. Recognizing this, tech companies are implementing various reskilling strategies to equip their workforce with the necessary skills for the future,” the report said.
The report forecasts strong growth for the IT training market with a compound annual growth rate of 7.03% between 2023 and 2028, reaching a market size of $12.93 billion as companies invest in upskilling initiatives to future-proof their workforces.
