Baguio City eyed as investment destination by Indian investors
The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) recently headed an investment promotions tour catered to Indian investors in Baguio City. The delegates chose the City of Pines for its “economic potential,” as well as “weather conditions and natural attractions.”
Some Indian investors already expressed interest in locating and expanding their operations in the city. Some are also looking to invest through PEZA.
Aside from the tour, the investment promotions agency also organized the “Global Biz with PEZA” event which featured India on the third day. The event urged investors to register to enjoy tax incentives, under various government initiatives.
“[As] a ‘one-stop and nonstop shop,’ PEZA will definitely assist our investors in their applications, and also in looking for local partners for their investment activities,” assured PEZA Director General Charito Plaza.
