Cisco unveils new cyber threat detection solution
CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Technology company Cisco has introduced Cisco XDR, a new solution that enables swift detection of cyber threats and automates the response process.
“The threat landscape is complex and evolving. Detection without response is insufficient, while response without detection is impossible. With Cisco XDR, security operations teams can respond and remediate threats before they have a chance to cause significant damage,” said Jeetu Patel, Cisco Executive Vice President and General Manager of Security and Collaboration.
Cisco XDR, currently in Beta, is set to become generally available in July 2023. The platform aims to streamline investigating security incidents and enables security operations centers to promptly address potential threats.
This cloud-based solution utilizes advanced analytics to effectively prioritize detections, shifting the emphasis from time-consuming investigations to promptly remedying the highest priority incidents, all supported by automated processes.
Cisco is engaged in the development, manufacturing, and sale of networking hardware, telecommunications equipment, and various other technology services and products.
The company was founded by a group of computer scientists in 1984. With a global workforce of over 71,000, Cisco has been at the forefront of advancing Internet Protocol (IP)-based networking technologies.
