DTI proposes biz opening in all alert levels
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is urging the government to allow all businesses to remain open at all alert levels with varying operating capacities to help the recovery of the economy.
In an interview with ANC, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez said that “economic activities should continue at all alert levels and you just change the operating capacity” so that business operations could still continue.
Under Alert Level 4, indoor services are allowed at 10% capacity for fully vaccinated customers only, while outdoor establishments can operate up to 30% capacity.
The DTI secretary added that about 76,000 to 80,000 establishments were not able to continue their operations since the alert level system started.
