Edukasyon.ph launches Tech-Voc program to boost PH employability

Online education platform Edukasyon.ph recently launched its Tech-Voc Career Accelerator Program (TVCap) to help create a young workforce of technical-vocational (tech-voc) professionals in the Philippines.
The firm explained that this program intends to “transform youth interest into a serious passion” in the tech-voc industry through “holistic skills development, industry training and linkages, and continuous learning.”
Edukasyon.ph is partnering with the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) in conducting research on Tech-Voc Education and Training (TVET) in the country.
ECOP Director-General Roland Moya said, “We believe that investing in TVET, improving its implementation and quality, is indispensable in minimizing job-skills mismatch so that it ensures that employers are able to hire workers with the right skills, knowledge, competencies, and attitude in order to maximize productivity.”
Moya added that they will be contributing to the study since skills development is one of its core programs.
The training’s speific target respondents are Grade 10 pupils, college non-tech-voc students, Grade 11 and 12 technical-vocational-livelihood (TVL) students, tech-voc students, interested parents, as well as tech-voc schools and companies.
Edukasyon.ph plans to focus its program in the fields of Agri-Fishery arts, Home Economics, Information and Communications Technology, Industrial Arts, and Maritime.
