Foreign entry ban eased starting May 1
The Philippines lifted its foreign entry ban on foreign nationals starting May 1, as long as they satisfy several requirements. However, nationals coming from India are still not allowed to enter the country.
According to Palace spokesman Harry Roque, foreign nationals must comply with several requirements implemented by the inter-agency task force leading the country’s COVID-19 response. Some of their requirements include:
- Valid and existing visa by time of entry
- Pre-booked accommodation of at least seven nights
- COVID-19 testing on the sixth day from their date of arrival
- Aliens should also be subject to the maximum inbound passengers (1500) at the port and date of entry
