India’s corporate offices to re-open in October
Multinational companies (MNCs), Business Process Outsourcing (BPOs) providers, and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPOs) firms across India are set to re-open in October, bringing back employees from various industries over the next few months.
Global Association for Corporate Services (GACS) Founder Sameer Saxena said that the reopening will see a 10% to 20% increase in office staffers “which will gradually rise to 50-60% in the next two to three months.”
Support jobs in the country are also expected to rise as Saxena noted that “one corporate employee working in the office building creates five support staff jobs.”
In addition, according to the data from the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), over 100,000 jobs in the support sector are predicted to be back in business during the re-opening period.
The corporate offices in India are adapting new normal practices — such as thermal screening and the usage of hand sanitizers and masks inside office premises — to ensure the health and safety of the employees who are going back to their office centers.
