JPMorgan restricts ChatGPT use
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Financial services firm JPMorgan Chase & Co. is restricting its employees from using ChatGPT.
According to an anonymous source of The Wall Street Journal, this decision was not triggered by any specific incident but reflects normal controls around third-party software.
ChatGPT has become increasingly popular since its November launch. People are starting to rely on the conversational AI tool as it can answer any questions and write about everything.
However, its reliability is also being raised as it could give its users wrong answers.
Aside from JPMorgan, telecommunications company Verizon Communications also barred the chatbot from its corporate systems due to privacy concerns.
Meanwhile, public schools in New York City banned the chatbot from their internet networks and school devices last January.
