Morgan McKinley to acquire BPO firm Abtran
Professional services and recruitment firm Morgan McKinley is set to acquire Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm Abtran as it expands its operations globally.
Upon the merger, the combined companies plan to hire about 2,500 employees with projected annual revenues of over €300m (US$339 million). It will continue to be run by the current leadership team.
Ireland-based Abtran holds a range of private and public contracts — including the helpline services for Revenue and Electric Ireland and Health Service Executive’s contact tracing operations.
Both businesses are expected to keep their established brand identities and retain all senior leadership, executive management teams, and staff upon the completion of the deal.
The approval of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is required for this acquisition and is expected to be completed in the coming months.
