Most US workers prefer to maintain their current work environment — Yoh survey
The majority of American workers would rather maintain their current working environment — whether it is fully remote, in-person, or hybrid — than adopt any changes to their work models.
In a survey by international talent and outsourcing company Yoh, about 62% of full-time remote workers want to retain this schedule, while only 32% want to move into a hybrid arrangement and only six per cent are willing to go back to their offices..
Of those who are working in a hybrid model, 54% like to keep it that way, while 30% want to go fully remote and 16% want to work in-person.
Finally, data for those who work in-person 100% of the time show that 42% want to keep going to the office full-time, while 30% want to go hybrid and 28% want remote work.
Yoh President Emmet McGrath explained that the “ability to adapt to this new normal in the workforce has opened plenty of avenues for today’s workforce and today’s employers alike.”
He added that these results signify that employers should offer “a variety of work structures that allow workers to choose the model that’s best for them.”
The survey was conducted online by The Harris Poll on behalf of Yoh between February 3-7, 2022, among 900 adults aged 18 above who are employed full-time or part-time.
