NCR to be placed under Alert Level 4 starting Sept 16

The National Capital Region (NCR) will be placed under Alert Level 4, starting September 16 until September 30, said Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) undersecretary Jonathan Malaya.
This decision was made after the Metro Manila mayors all agreed to implement only one alert level in the Philippine capital.
According to the guidelines released by the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases), Alert Level 4 areas are those classified with an increasing COVID-19 transmission rate and high total bed utilization in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
As per the new lockdown scheme, individuals below 18 years old, citizens above 65 years old, persons with comorbidities, and pregnant women are prohibited from going out.
Outdoor dining services and religious gatherings will be allowed for up to 30% of the venue capacity, while 10% of indoor operations as long as they cater only to fully inoculated individuals.
Government agencies will remain fully operational with 20% of employees working on-site, while the rest are working remotely.
