Outsourcing firms dominate Philippines’ Best Workplaces 2024
MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Outsourcing companies emerged as the top workplaces in the Philippines, according to the Philippines Best Workplaces 2024 list.
The annual ranking, now in its fifth year, is based on responses from over 600,000 employees across 200 certified organizations in the country.
The list categorizes companies into Large (1000+ employees), Medium (100-999 employees), and Small (10-99 employees) based on their workforce size.
Remarkably, all entities in the large category are outsourcing firms. Synchrony Global Services Philippines, a subsidiary managing Synchrony’s call center operations and back-office support, secured the top spot for the second consecutive year.
Following closely are Accenture and TaskUs, securing the second and third positions, respectively.
Other notable mentions include Lexmark Research and Development Corporation, Teleperformance, Capital One Philippines, DXC Technology Philippines, CGI Philippines, [24]7.ai Philippines, and Tech Mahindra Limited Philippines.
In the medium category, standout outsourcing firms include Cisco, Via Appia Philippines, 3M GSC Philippines, Balsam International Unlimited Company – Philippine ROHQ, Lingaro, Amadeus Marketing Philippines, SCJ Philippines, Genesys Cloud Services Cayman LTD – Philippines Branch, and Thumbtack Philippines.
Meanwhile, the small category saw Kollab leading the pack, followed by ECo Global Consulting Inc. and Limitless Connect.
This category also featured other innovative outsourcing firms such as Logix BPO, Zenutna Holdings Corporation, Zenutna Holdings Corporation, J4RVIS, Interconnected Business Process Inc., Fulcrum Solutions, and Air Accounting.
Jack Madrid, the President and CEO of the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), noted that over half of the 35 awardees belong to the IT-BPM industry. This marks a considerable improvement from the previous year, which included only 13 outsourcing firms.
Madrid also highlighted the importance of listening to employees, problem-solving, and empathy as key leadership qualities that contribute to the recognition of these firms as great places to work.
The IT-BPM industry in the Philippines concluded 2023 with a revenue of $35.5 billion, up from $32.5 billion the previous year. The industry also saw an over eight percent increase in employee count, growing to 1.7 million.
With a 2024 revenue target of $40 billion and an increase in the workforce to 1.84 million employees, the sector continues to play a pivotal role in the country’s economic landscape.
