India’s MPSEDC plans for ‘plug-and-play’ IT/BPO facility
INDORE, INDIA — The Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) wants to create a “plug-and-play” facility at Pardesipura Electronic Complex.
According to the firm, the plan is driven by a jump in inquiries from IT/ITES companies, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms, and data centers in Indore City.
MPSEDC Managing Director Abhijeet Agrawal said, “We are planning to add more developed spaces for IT/ITES companies. At Pardesipura, we already have an existing setup and have received many fresh inquiries from industry players willing to take up developed spaces in the area.”
Dwarkesh Kumar Sarraf, MPSEDC IT Parks and Infra General Manager, added that they have already sent a proposal for the facility.
“The proposal has been sanctioned and in the next two months we plan to issue the work order,” he added.
More than 300 IT companies and 1,000 startups are operating in Indore.
From April 2022 to December 2022, IT companies operating in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) recorded an export of around Rs 2000 crore (US$243 million), while exports from non-SEZ IT firms stood at nearly Rs 1300 crore (US$158 million).
