‘Resilient’ BPO sector filled POGO vacancies – FLI
Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) is relying on the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector’s resiliency to fill up the office vacancies left by the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
FLI noted the resilience of the BPO sector, which allowed the real estate firm to maintain its steady office leasing income despite the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Multinational BPO companies took 88.4% of the occupied gross leasable area (GLA) of FLI’s planned 17-building real estate investment trust (REIT) portfolio as of March 31. POGOs only occupied 2.8%.
