SLASSCOM, SUSL to foster ‘stronger’ IT/BPM workforce
BALANGODA, SRI LANKA — The Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Computing at the University of Sabaragamuwa in Sri Lanka (SUSL) as part of its efforts to strengthen the country’s IT/BPM workforce.
Under the MOU, both organizations will establish a collaborative framework to produce “more highly skilled and capable” IT/BPM talent.
SLASSCOM called this partnership “a timely and critical requirement for maintaining a robust academia-industry ecosystem” that could address the evolving sector.
The association also affirmed its commitment to support and help produce employable students with technical and professional skills to produce a “future-ready workforce” for Sri Lanka’s IT/BPM industry.
