Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, OCTA Research Group suggests that the government must prioritize vaccination in these areas to lower the infection rate.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPrioritize [the National Capital Region] because we’re undergoing a surge here. Also Calabarzon [Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon Province]. The trade and economic center is here, if we control virus cases in NCR, we can control the pandemic in the whole country,\u201d said OCTA Research fellow Guido David.<\/span><\/p>\n The research group earlier warned that the Philippines may reach 10,000 daily COVID-19 cases by April 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n
