The Cebu City Emergency Operations Center or EOC created a set of guidelines to prepare Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employees in their return to on-site work.<\/span><\/p>\n Presented to Mayor Michael Rama and several outsourcing firms in Cebu City\u2019s major economic zones, the EOC suggested implementing a flexible working model, retaining social distancing rules and minimum public health standards compliance, and designating Health Infection and Prevention Control Officers (HIPCO) per office.<\/span><\/p>\n The organization also said that companies should have proper ventilation in their office spaces, proper cleaning and disinfection processes, mask mandates, and regulation on using the pantry and mess halls.<\/span><\/p>\n Moreover, the organization recommended that employees with suspected COVID-19 cases should be given COVID-19 tests and be out to quarantine immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n Isolation must also be done for people who had contact with positive cases, or any employee that had been exposed to a high-risk situation.<\/span><\/p>\n COVID-positive employees should also be given the option of working from home during isolation<\/span><\/p>\n Despite all of these preparations, the Cebu City EOC still supports the call for extension of the work-from-home scheme till September 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
