LEUVEN, BELGIUM \u2014 Major technology companies have joined forces to help workers adapt to the <\/span>artificial intelligence<\/span><\/a> era.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The newly formed AI-Enabled ICT Workforce Consortium aims to assess <\/span>AI’s impact on tech jobs<\/span><\/a> and identify training pathways for roles most affected.<\/span><\/p>\n

The consortium is led by <\/span>Cisco<\/span><\/a> and includes <\/span>Accenture<\/span><\/a>, Eightfold, <\/span>Google<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>IBM<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Indeed<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Intel<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Microsoft<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>SAP<\/span><\/a>. It was catalyzed by the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council’s Talent for Growth Task Force.<\/span><\/p>\n

“AI is accelerating the pace of change for the global workforce, presenting a powerful opportunity for the private sector to help <\/span>upskill and reskill workers for the future<\/span><\/a>,” <\/span>said Francine Katsoudas<\/span><\/a>, Executive Vice President and Chief People, Policy & Purpose Officer, Cisco.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“The mission of our newly unveiled AI-Enabled Workforce Consortium is to provide organizations with knowledge about the impact of AI on the workforce and equip workers with relevant skills.”<\/span><\/p>\n
