17M workers now fully-vaxxed in PH – DOLE

The Philippines currently has 17 million fully vaccinated workers as the government ramps up its inoculation drive to boost economic activity, said the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
In an interview with TeleRadyo, Labor Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay stated that the vaccination rate for the labor force rose after the mass vaccination drive held by the government last October 29 to December 1.
However, Tutay noted that there are still several employees who have yet to receive their vaccines.
The Philippines government has required mandatory vaccination on eligible on-site workers in the public and private sector starting December.
According to the protocol, unvaccinated on-site employees will be required to undergo RT-PCR tests every 2 weeks at their expense.
