24/7 vaccine operations proposed
Deputy Speaker Mikee Romero urged the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) to open 24/7 vaccination centers to accelerate vaccine rollout and herd immunity.
The 1-Pacman party-list representative also noted that the 24/7 vaccine centers would be the best response to the expected surge of vaccine recipients once other priority groups are permitted to get COVID-19 jabs, adding that the round-the-clock vaccine center operations “would address the problem of overcrowding and help guarantee the observance of health and security protocols.”
Further, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. has previously announced that vaccine supplies would start pouring in by June.
