US-based customer services and software firm [24]7.ai unveiled its new Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) facility at the Shillong Technology Park in Meghalaya, India.
Inaugurated by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, the 400-seater BPO center aims to create over 2,500 direct and indirect job opportunities for the local youths over the next two years.
According to [24]7.ai, its international facilities will also be open to offering team members a chance to pursue their careers globally.
Moreover, the company aims to provide local youths the opportunity to work with globally renowned Fortune 500 companies, using new-age technology in the customer interaction space.
Addressing the media persons who attended the launch, Sangma said, “Providing employment opportunities to the youth of Meghalaya is the need of the hour, and companies like [24]7.ai play a pivotal role in building Meghalaya as a global IT/ ITeS hub. I am delighted to deepen this relationship and extend our full support to [24]7.ai.”
Meanwhile, [24]7.ai Chief Delivery Officer – India & Americas Chief Delivery Officer – India & Americas added that providing direct and indirect employment opportunities to the local youths is part of their long-term vision in the state.
