3 in 5 CIOs ready to replace their tech if given opportunity — Lenovo study

A global study by consumer electronic company Lenovo showed that three out of five Chief Information Officers (CIO) are willing to replace half of their company’s technology if given a chance.
As the role of CIOs evolved in the past two years, Lenovo showed that most of them are looking to partner with vendors who could bring success to their organizations.
Eight in ten CIOs agree that their tech vendors are “so effectively integrated that it increases [they are] overall productivity.” Meanwhile, over half of them believe that halting IT investments will impact their company’s cost-efficiency within weeks.
Lenovo Solutions and Services Group President Ken Wong said. “Modern CIOs are the ‘mission control’ of their organizations.”
“From navigating tech ecosystems to upskilling employees, today’s CIOs are responsible for the entire technology value chain.”
Lenovo’s study added that most CIOs expect to turn to their tech vendors for help in securing their company’s privacy, maintaining their technology, and optimizing corporate investments in the next five years.
