32% of UK biz leaders plan to outsource more
About 32% of business leaders in the United Kingdom (UK) are looking to outsource more of their business operations in the following years.
According to the 2022 UK IT Sourcing Study, 57% of companies are relying more on outsourcing to focus on their core businesses, while 56% want to gain access to global talent or resources.
Meanwhile, only 18% said they plan to outsource less to build and retain their intellectual property to drive the business locally.
Manish Khandelwal, IT Transformation specialist at PA Consulting said, “Businesses are aggressively using opportunities presented by digital transformation to drive growth which is resulting in significant demand for technology services. The market has matured, and clients are focused more on value rather than costs.”
Khandelwal added that “the war for talent has reached unprecedented levels and will only intensify in the short term, however, the industry has the unique opportunity to drive global workforce transformation.”
