3M PH expands, aims to breach 1k employee count

Multinational conglomerate corporation 3M is planning to hire an additional 100 employees in its Philippine center by the end of 2021 as it aims to reach 1,000 employees by year-end.
According to Country Leader Reggie C. Pulumbarit, 3M currently employs 750 workers in its shared service center and another 150 in its sales and marketing arm.
Most of the newly-recruited individuals will be assigned to the global service center to handle internal finance, human resources, and information technology requirements for the international firm.
Pulumbarit added that the company leaders are having discussions with employees on hybrid remote and on-site work measures.
3M’s global sales went up 24.7% to $8.9 billion in Q2 after it declined 12.2% in the same quarter last year during the global economic slowdown.
