40% of ICT firms lack social media presence

About 40% of companies in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Media Sectors do not have social media accounts, according to a survey conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The findings, however, were based on the 2017 Survey on ICT (SICT) conducted by the PSA and released just last week.
The SICT results also showed that of the 3,648 ICT and media companies, only 41.4% to 50.8% have websites. SICT is a rider survey to the 2017 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) and aims to collect and generate information on the availability, distribution and access/utilization of ICT among establishments in the country.
