761 call centers registered in Pakistan in 2022

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — Around 761 call centers registered with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) in 2022, said Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haque.
Aside from call centers, Amin-ul-Haque added that 1,638 new IT companies and 1,463 freelancers got registered with the PSEB last year.
The minister added that establishing eight incubation centers in Pakistan created an entrepreneurial vibe and helped develop new startups in almost every sector.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of IT’s National Freelance Training Program established 20 training centers last year, with 8,647 graduates trained through International standard IT courses.
These students, added Amin-ul-Haque, contributed to the economy by earning US$23 million through freelancing after training.
Moreover, he said that about 33 million people had registered for freelancing courses under the DG Skills Programs of Ignite, adding US$290 million to the country’s foreign exchange reserve.
The IT minister shared these industry updates during the inauguration of the three-day ITCN Asia exhibition, Pakistan’s largest annual IT and Communications Exhibition.
