81% of APAC employees are looking for new jobs — Hays report

A significant 81% of employees in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region are either actively looking for a new job or indicated being open to opportunities as they reported lower satisfaction with their current employment.
In a survey by recruitment company Hays, 9,598 skilled professionals across China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore said that the biggest reasons why people are thinking of leaving their jobs are due to compensation and career development.
At the same time, these two factors were also among the top reasons cited for those who want to remain in their current jobs.
As for compensation, Hays reported that employers are looking to offer a three to six per cent increment in the salaries of their workers with others planning to give staff bonuses this year.
