82% of PH companies looking to increase pay this year

At least 82.4 per cent of companies are forecasting increased salaries this year, with fewer firms implementing salary freezes, according to Willis Towers Watson (WTW)’s latest Salary Budget Planning Survey report. This is despite the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on businesses.
Further, the report noted that last year, the Philippines has seen its lowest average salary increase in more than a decade
The report also noted that the most optimistic industries that are seen to increase demand for talents are pharmaceutical and health sciences, electronics manufacturing, and business support services including Business Process Outsourcing.
