85% of IT leaders regard their workforce as their ‘greatest asset’

About 85% of tech employers around the world believe that their people are their “greatest asset” as they go through an intense and accelerated digital transformation over the past two years.
In a survey released by tech company Dell Technologies, half of IT leaders said they are confident with their knowledge in digitally transforming their workforces.
However, employees feel they are being left behind. Six in ten (67%) tech employees believe their organizations underestimate the people’s requirements when planning their tech transformation programs.
Meanwhile, 53% of workers fear they will be shut out of the evolving digital world due to a lack of people with the right authority/vision to capitalize on the opportunity.
Dell Technologies Asia Pacific, Japan, and Global Digital Cities President Amit Midha said, “Our latest research highlights that sustainable digital transformation happens at the intersection of people and technology.”
He added that organizations should consider a three-pronged approach to achieve an effective breakthrough in the tech world. This includes providing consistent and secure work experiences; driving productivity and employee focus by augmenting human capabilities with technology tools; and inspiring employees through an empathetic culture and authentic leadership.
