8×8 names Bruno Bertini as Chief Marketing Officer

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Cloud communications provider 8×8 has appointed Bruno Bertini as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Bertini will be responsible for 8×8’s global marketing strategy and driving demand and growth for the company.
“Bruno’s experience as a marketing leader in the contact center and customer experience industry, particularly within demand generation, will serve to accelerate the growth and adoption of our industry-leading cloud contact center and unified communications platform,” said 8×8 CEO Samuel Wilson.
Bertini joins 8×8 from Freshworks, where he served as Vice President of Demand Generation and Growth Marketing. He has over 15 years of experience in marketing for the contact center and customer experience industry, including roles at Genesys.
“Marketing is always more fun when there’s a great story to showcase, especially as organizations look to drive operational efficiencies, improve productivity, and enhance customer experiences,” shared Bertini.
As part of his appointment, Bertini received restricted stock units for up to 502,512 shares of 8×8 common stock. He also received performance stock units for up to 167,504 additional shares.
8×8 has seen several changes in its executive leadership team this year. In June, the company appointed Samuel Wilson as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Also in June, 8×8 named Kevin Kraus as Chief Financial Officer. Before his tenure as interim CFO, he was the company’s Senior Vice President of Finance. Most recently, 8×8 appointed Lisa Martin as its new Chief Revenue Officer.
