91% of Filipino workers want a hybrid model — Sprout Solutions

A large majority (91%) of employees in the Philippines prefer a hybrid or remote workplace arrangement with only nine percent favoring an office return, according to a survey by local Software-as-a-Service company Sprout Solutions.
In a study called “Going Hybrid: The Future of Work”, Sprout interviewed 485 respondents from HR departments and 8,194 employees.
However, while 70.71% of remote employees like their current setup, only 43.54% feel engaged with their company.
The study stated that this sentiment could be coming from the lack of support by their employers.
Sprout explained that as remote work continues, business leaders “need to put forth a more concentrated effort to engage” with their staff as “working from home could lead to isolation, feelings of unhappiness, and a diminishing of passion towards company goals.”
Meanwhile, among HR admins, 80% like to continue working their hybrid arrangement, while 20% expressed their desire to return to a traditional office environment.
For hybrid work to be effective, Sprout Solutions Chief People and Customer Officer Arlene De Castro said that companies can try to “centralize support functions and make output-based work the primary guiding principle of their organization.”
