DAVAO CITY, PHILIPPINES — SixEleven brought 390 people to Davao City on Oct. 10 for its annual Team Leader Summit, built around the playbook it gives the people who run its floors.
The company says the attendees came from all nine of its sites, and that seven in 10 of its leadership roles are filled through internal promotion.
A playbook for team leaders
The summit brought together executives, operations managers, team leaders, and IT, accounting, HR and other staff, SixEleven told Outsource Accelerator. Sessions led by its operations managers and designated facilitators covered company policies, best practices, leadership objectives, call certification, case analysis and emergency preparedness.
In a Facebook post on Oct. 12, the company said the summit gave its operations managers and team leaders a chance to exchange insights, strengthen leadership capabilities and reinforce its commitment to operational excellence.
The message to its leaders
“This Team Leader Summit shares the proven policies, guidelines, and playbook built on SixEleven’s 20 years of experience. This playbook is one of the foundations behind our awards, DOLE compliance, exponential growth, and company acquisitions,” said William Wijangco, SixEleven’s chief operating officer, in a message to the company’s leaders, referring to compliance with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The message stops short of prescribing how those leaders should manage. “Our goal is not to prescribe a single leadership style. We empower our leaders to lead in their own way, strengthening our diversity, adaptability, and resilience,” Wijangco said.
“What matters is that you uphold our core principles, follow company policies, and achieve your KPIs. These are the standards by which we measure your success.”
Leaders promoted from within
SixEleven started in Davao with 20 agents in 2005 and puts its current headcount at about 8,000. It says 70% of its leadership roles are filled through internal promotion, and puts its retention rate at 88%, without giving the period that figure covers.
Why it matters to buyers
For companies outsourcing customer service or call center work to the Philippines, the team leaders on an account shape how it runs from one shift to the next.
Buyers comparing business process outsourcing (BPO) partners can ask how a provider trains and promotes the leaders assigned to their account, and can start with the top 40 BPO companies in the Philippines list.
SixEleven is currently subscribed as an Outsource Accelerator (OA) BPO Partner. Through OA’s Marketing, Sales, and Source Partner Hubs, the firm accesses a unified growth platform designed to convert high-intent prospects and accelerate deal flow in the outsourcing industry.
