Stricter GCQ imposed for Metro Manila

Malacañang said stricter COVID-19 measures will be imposed in the National Capital Region (NCR) even if it has reverted to the less restrictive General Community Quarantine (GCQ) due to the request of NCR mayors.
According to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, there will now be a unified curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. in the entire NCR and that local government units can issue quarantine passes even under GCQ. The government will also start the “aggressive” implementation of localized and granular lockdowns.
Further, as the economy reopens, Trade secretary Ramon Lopez reminded establishments to comply with the enhanced health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
