NCR, Calabarzon vaccination should be prioritized – OCTA
Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, OCTA Research Group suggests that the government must prioritize vaccination in these areas to lower the infection rate.
“Prioritize [the National Capital Region] because we’re undergoing a surge here. Also Calabarzon [Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon Province]. The trade and economic center is here, if we control virus cases in NCR, we can control the pandemic in the whole country,” said OCTA Research fellow Guido David.
The research group earlier warned that the Philippines may reach 10,000 daily COVID-19 cases by April 2021.
