PH-Argentina in talks for creative partnerships

The Philippines is currently in talks with representatives from Latin American countries to discuss opportunities in the film and television production industry.
The Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Latin America, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and Agencia ProCordoba of Argentina have been conducting virtual roundtable and online business meetings to explore opportunities in the audiovisual sector.
Vichael Angelo D. Roaring, Commercial Counsellor and head of the PITC said, “We are opening up a new frontier for the Philippine Creative sector. We have seen how Philippine content has had a good market reception in countries like the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Peru.”
In addition, Philippine Ambassador to Argentina, H.E. Linglingay Lacanlale, in her remarks, stressed the importance of a possible collaboration given the common colonial past of and the cultural similarities that bind both countries.
The event was attended by 28 Philippine companies from the sector and over the same number of Argentine counterparts.
