PH can reduce COVID-19 cases if vaccinations speed up “without rest”

Former COVID-19 task force adviser Tony Leachon said the Philippines can reduce its rising number of COVID-19 cases if the government ramps up its vaccination efforts “without rest for three months.”
Leachon cited Israel’s inoculation program, wherein more than half of its citizens have already received their two doses of vaccine. Israela has since then recorded a huge drop in the number of infections in three months.
However, the Philippines’ lack of vaccine supply poses a hindrance. The country is expecting to receive 2.3 million vaccine doses between March and early April.
