PH extends travel ban to South Asian countries until month-end

The Philippine government extended its entry ban on travelers coming from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Oman, and UAE until May 31.
Persons who are set to arrive from these two countries before May 15 will still be allowed to enter the country. However, they must complete a 14-day quarantine in an accredited isolation facility, whether or not they test positive for COVID-19.
The World Health Organization declared the travel restrictions as part of measures to stop the entry of the B1617 variant, which was first reported in India.
