PH-US to collaborate for improved vaccine manufacturing and distribution

The Philippines and US governments are eyeing a collaboration to provide a platform for vaccine manufacturing and distribution to support both countries’ growth and expansion plans across the entire vaccine value chain.
In a statement, the Philippine embassy said it organized a virtual forum with the US government to provide a platform for pharmaceutical and logistics companies to learn about the tools and products available through the US International Development Finance Corp. (DFC) and US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) as jabs remain in limited supply.
Last year, the DFC also launched the Global Health and Prosperity Initiative to encourage proposals from private sector firms in need of support for health-related investments.
