BPO sector records 12% growth in online hiring demand
The Business Process Outsourcing/IT-enabled Services (BPO/ITES) sector recorded a 12% growth in online hiring demand in April 2021 compared to last year’s data, according to the Monster Employment Index (MEI).
The online hiring demand in April 2020 exceeded last year’s levels in seven of the 12 industries. Logistics, Courier/Freight/Transportation; Healthcare; Software, Hardware, Telecom; Finance & Accounts; and Customer Service (+5%) all saw notable growth.
The Hospitality and travel, Purchase/ Logistics/ Supply Chain, Healthcare and Marketing & Communications saw the steepest decline among others, year-on-year.
Despite this, overall online recruitment in the Philippines decreased by 1% in April 2021 when compared to the April 2020 data.
