NCR, nearby provinces remain under GCQ until July 15

Metro Manila and the surrounding provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal will remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with restrictions – the second loosest quarantine level from July 1 to 15 despite the decrease in COVID-19 cases in the areas.
OCTA Research Group suggested the national government keep the GCQ status for NCR Plus to prevent a “rebound surge.”
The 12 other regions especially the Davao Region and Iloilo, Naga, Lucena, Cagayan de Oro, and Puerto Princesa will be put on modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) as Covid-19 new cases still increase.
