Xbox next acquisition could be from India

Xbox Game studios is planning to acquire game developers from countries such as India, South America, and Africa in the near future, according to Xbox chief Phil Spencer.
Spencer noted the possibility of buying a game studio in India in an interview with The Guardian. “It would actually surprise me if that doesn’t happen,” he said.
Matt Botty, head of Xbox Game Studios, commented that the company’s vision requires “several-hundred-person” to build a studio in the country. He also said that the new game studios will not be for outsourcing but for developing games most suitable for their market.
Xbox is slowly growing in the Indian market because of its consumer-friendly practices. This could encourage Microsoft, owner of Xbox, to make a big investment in the country’s local game development.
