STT to close two of its NY offices

US-based financial services company State Street (STT) will shut down its two midtown offices in Manhattan as they embrace a new hybrid working model for their firm.
According to an anonymous report to CNN, the Wall Street company’s move will affect an estimated 500 employees.
STT said in a statement that their plan to close down their offices is made to accommodate their new hybrid working conditions.
“We have taken a diligent look at our real estate footprint in NYC and [ensured] that our realty needs are in line with where our employees will be working,” they added.
The financial giant noted that while they are closing down two of their offices, they are planning to add a shared workspace in Manhattan. Further, their employees will have access to their centers located in New Jersey and Connecticut.
