GSAJ urges BPO employees to get vaccinated

The Global Services Association of Jamaica (GSAJ) is encouraging all member companies in the country to push their employees to get vaccinated in a bid to continue protecting lives and livelihoods.
GSAJ aims to get 70% of its workforce within the Global Services Sector (GSS) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry to get inoculated before the end of the year.
President Gloria Henry stated that they want to help accelerate the vaccination drive in the country to protect their employees as they are “Jamaica’s most important global competitive factor.”
In addition, the agency commended the “resilience” of the GSS and BPO sector that resulted in a 15% overall growth in the sector last 2020.
Henry also noted that some businesses have reported that over 80% of their managers have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
