PH named the worst place to be in COVID

The Philippines was named the worst place to be amid the pandemic, as revealed by Bloomberg’s COVID-19 resilient ranking. The country dropped from last year’s 52nd place.
Countries from Southeast Asia, which recently had the worst outbreak in the world, populated the September Ranking’s lowest rungs, with Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam all in the bottom five.
According to the report, this ranking was compiled using 12 data indicators, which included the quality of health care, vaccination coverage, overall mortality and progress toward restarting travel and easing border curbs.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said that the government is “not surprised” that the Philippines and other Southeast Asian nations landed at the bottom of the list, as richer countries get more vaccines.
