Phantom Space to outsource its engines to compete in the space transportation market

Space technology and transportation company Phantom Space is outsourcing its propulsion system production – the most expensive and difficult part of any rocket – to compete in the growing space transportation market.
The newly-established firm is buying its propulsion system from rocket engine developer Ursa Major.
Phantom Space Chief Technical Officer Chris Thompson, who has previously worked for SpaceX, is the one in charge of integrating the outsourced propulsion system into their rockets.
This partnership comes as various companies are trying to enter the space industry and launch their rockets into orbit.
Phantom Space founder Jim Cantrell said that they plan to build four demonstration rockets and launch them by 2023.
