Iloilo to generate 2M jobs for pandemic recovery
At least two million jobs will be generated for the city and province of Iloilo under the National Employment Recovery Strategy (NERS), said Senator Joel Villanueva.
To cope with the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Villanueva pushed for localized identifications of jobs per industry that can be generated until 2022.
During a visit to the province, the senator urged the Information Technology-Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO), tourism, manufacturing, and agriculture industries to create scorecards to track employment in every sector.
The scorecards will be used as a blueprint that will guide the partnership between government agencies and the private sector in generating employment opportunities for Iloilo citizens.
