Uniphore closes largest-ever funding round in call center market

Global Conversational Service Automation (CSA) leader Uniphore Technologies Inc. closed a $400 million late-stage investment round that is estimated to be the largest funding round ever for a company in the call center business.
This new investment now values the company at $2.5 billion.
The Series E round amplified the business community’s “appetite” for technology that makes call center agents more efficient and improves customer service.
In a statement, Uniphore said that they plan to use these funds to enhance its products, particularly in the areas of voice response, computer vision, and tonal emotion.
The firm is also looking to expand its operations in the regions of North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Uniphore Co-Founder Umesh Sachdev said that they are on track to achieve $100 million in annual recurring revenue this year — most of which will come from their contracts with Allstate Insurance, Accenture, DHL Express, and DirecTV.
