Hybrid work ‘instrumental’ for employee adjustment post-remote work

The hybrid work model is ‘instrumental’ in giving employees the time to adjust to the changing office expectations, said JobStreet Philippines Country Manager Philip Gioca.
In a virtual briefing, JobStreet Philippines Country Manager Philip Gioca said that they support flexible work arrangements in their company.
Gioca explained that this working arrangement gives everyone the flexibility “to be at home when needed and to be in the office when there is a need.”
He added that hybrid work could also help companies during the upcoming rainy season, or if there is a natural disaster — such as a volcanic eruption.
Besides the importance of hybrid work, Gioca also emphasized upskilling for job-seekers. He stated that the majority of jobs in the future are expected to be digital so it is important for employees to be “digital-savvy.”
Jobstreet will be hosting a “Hire the Future” virtual career fair scheduled from March 9 to 11. It will involve 900 employers across Southeast Asia, with over 80,000 job opportunities for Filipinos.
