41% of Singapore employees would rather work remotely than receive a bigger bonus

About 41% of workers in Singapore choose to continue working from home than take a bigger bonus from their employers, said HR consulting firm Randstad.
In a survey conducted last month with 300 participants, the respondents stated that remote working had a lot of benefits – including saving time and money from the daily commute and spending more time with family.
Additionally, employees stated that they are more productive at home because of less distractions.
Randstad stated that this figure highlights the fact that not all employees can be easily lured with money which, in turn, signifies that employers must think of another way to retain their workers.
The consulting firm added that employers should review and adjust their work policies and benefits schemes to improve their ability to attract and retain good talent.
Employers should also regularly communicate these benefits to their employees and get feedback on whether they are helpful in driving work productivity and better well-being.
Meanwhile, Randstad also reported that half of Singapore employees are bound to receive their bonuses this year, and at least 80% will have salary increments over the next few months.
